Tip #12: You can’t do everything

Attracting customers is complicated. Some are ardent fans of Facebook. Others only look at LinkedIn or Twitter or Pinterest. Some customers don’t follow any and others are glued to their phone for anything that pops up.

Some people throw away standard class mail without giving it a glance yet they’ll take the time to open every email solicitation.

If you query your customers, you’ll find there are no real trends or consistencies. Responses are across the board.

Knowing that you can’t do it all, it’s often best to pick one or two and stick to those. Focus on building your following, attracting likes, creating engagement, and so on.

In the long run –– and sometimes it takes a long run –– you’ll have a better chance to attract new customers. My Marketing Handyman can help you sort through it all.
