Free is a great inducement to attract attention. Free information… free report… free sample. They all work when it comes to attracting prospects and customers.
The rule is when you give something away free, you should always get something in return.
In other words, you don’t want to give away a free sample without knowing who you’re giving it to. That means in exchange for what you give away, you get an email address, name, address, or phone number. With that information you can follow up, create a relationship, tell your story and, perhaps, sign a new customer.
